Startup brings “home market” concept to condominiums in Greater Florianópolis

Fast4You will begin operations in September, offering purchases in physical stores within residential areas through an app. The service has also attracted the interest of construction companies.

The Home Market concept in residential and commercial condominiums, with the installation of physical stores offering everyday products, purchases via app and suggestions of personalized offers is the niche that the startup Fast4You Market will start testing in Greater Florianópolis in the coming months.

The first units will begin operating in September, in condominiums in the capital and São José. The company also has partnerships with some construction companies, which are already including this convenience store model in new projects, in addition to adapting other developments in use with the service.

As entrepreneur Daiane Vanoni, responsible for the new development in the region, recalls, this self-service model is an increasingly common practice around the world, but “what we did was adapt the concept to smaller spaces to better manage this type of business here in Brazil”.

The pandemic, on the one hand, delayed the implementation of the first projects a little, since condominium meetings were suspended and have now started to be resumed online. On the other hand, it can help to disseminate a service model based on convenience and with a focus on the use of technology, through the app where purchases are made.

“The idea came from a need, since purchases made through apps with scheduled delivery started to take longer and longer to arrive and going to the supermarket was eating up the little time left in the day. Now we generate innovation by working with the individualized purchasing profile , comfort by making quality products available at any time and any day, safety during the quarantine period that allows residents to avoid going to supermarkets with a high flow of people, the comfort of not having to wait in lines, property value increases by having a convenience store within the development, among other factors”, summarizes Daiane.

The condominium does not have to pay to have a store; it only needs to provide a space to set up the operation. “We have two models, one format for condominiums with over 100 units and another pocket format for condominiums with under 100 units. What changes is the product mix, as we adapt it according to demand. This mix varies between 150 and 600 diverse items ,” explains Daiane. To supply the stores, contracts are made directly with suppliers such as Nestlé, Coca-Cola, Unilever and multi-brand distributors.

The startup founder spent over 20 years in the corporate world, working for large retail and industrial companies such as Wal-Mart, Natura and Coca-Cola. She is now pursuing her long-held desire to start her own business based on her expertise in logistics and customer service. “Our expansion plan includes expanding into other cities and states soon,” Daiane summarizes.
